Looking for a church to worship at? Check us out. Our services are a blend of traditional and contemporary with prayers, readings, reflections and music thoughtfully integrated into a meaningful time of worship. There is space for your personal reflections and prayers, lots of music and challenging and inspiring sermons.
Worship at St. Mark’s is participatory and inclusive in both word and gesture. Children are particularly welcome. We know they can’t always be still and often have to go out to the restroom or for a drink of water. After the first ten or fifteen minutes of the service the children are invited to go to Sunday School classes, though they are welcome to stay with you if they are feeling shy. And there is a nursery.
We don’t stand on a lot of pretense so please feel comfortable coming dressed casually if you wish. You’ll see members dressed in Armani to Levis, leather to fur – most of us are somewhere in the middle! Occasionally you’ll see a spike of fluorescent green or iridescent red hair so don’t worry about bad hair days. Coffee is served from 10:30 till worship time – a bit of caffeine never hurts.
Modern in design (built in 1984), our building is partially accessible for wheelchairs and for people with limited mobility. Rather than pews we have upholstered chairs on the floor. This allows us to configure the sanctuary space for special services and season.
A member recently wrote about worship at St. Mark’s – “the warm, friendly atmosphere, informal and yet worshipful, that proves to me that indeed I am not alone while at St. Mark’s.”
Come, be part of our circle of worship and praise!
