April 6, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 2:00 pm on Saturday, repeating until April 6, 2019
You are welcome to come for all of these 5 sessions or just for one. Each week of this walk focuses on a different theme:
- Ready & waiting to walk
- Release & how you walk
- Receive & the ‘path of life’ metaphor
- Respond & encountering others
- Reflect & sacred space
The labyrinth we are using is a 7-circuit, modified Chartres style (St. Paul a la Chartres). This means you will travel around the centre seven times on the way in and seven times on the way out. It is designed for up to 8 people to use at a time, so we will have to patient in taking turns on it. There are six petals at the centre, symbolic of the six days of creation, the rose, the lily, or Aphrodite (the goddess of love). Each petal also represents a different realm: mineral, plant, animal, human, angelic, and divine. The outer cusps are called lunations. They form a border between the labyrinth and the outside world, and so are sometimes nice to walk at the end as you make the transition back to real life.
