Stories of Our Faith:

John 6:35:  Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life.  Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

Revelation 3.20:  Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to you and eat with you, and you with me.

Matthew 11.28–30:  Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

1 Corinthians 11:23–26:  For I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took a loaf of bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said,

‘This is my body that is for you.

Do this in remembrance of me.’

In the same way he took the cup also, after supper, saying,

‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood.

Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.’

For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
