THIS SUNDAY – PENTECOST – SACRAMENT OF COMMUNION

This week is Pentecost Sunday (June12th), when we will be welcoming thirteen new members by transfer of membership.

Service begins at 11:00 A.M. or come early for refreshment and fellowship at 10:30 A.M.

GUIDED PRAYER

If you are interested in learning more about “The Week of Guided Prayer”,
please join us tonight, May 20th at 7:00pm at St. Mark’s.

We are planning a relaxing evening of companionship and reflection.

YARD SALE

St Mark’s 2011 Yard Sale on Sat June 11th is quickly approaching. As you do your spring cleaning please put aside any gently used items that are in working condition for our Yard Sale…Items like tools, toys, books, sports equipment, furniture, bikes, jewelry, small appliances, electronics, kitchen ware…etc.

Also mark the dates on your calendar to come out and help. We always need lots of assistance and it’s a fun way to get to know one another better. We will be setting up Thurs June 9th and Fri June 10th and selling on Sat June 11th.

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION EVENING

On May 26th  at 7:00PM, the Membership, Social and Worship Ministry Teams will be hosting a Volunteer Appreciation evening to thank those who help out during the year.

If you are interested in volunteering, whether it be greeting, doing committee work, etc., please join us.  All are welcome!

Art Show/Sale here at St Mark’s! Save the Date 

Melinda Calway will be having a showcase of paintings & drawings including watercolours from her recent France trip…so please save the date by marking it on your calendar.     This is a seed project as 20% of revenue from paintings sold will be donated to St Mark’s. 

The dates will be Friday May 6th afternoon/evening & Saturday May 7th.

MIles Ruiz Barnes, a young film maker from St. Mark's, has just completed his latest video.

Time Machine, by Relic, was filmed at St Mark's and features several members from the congregation.

RISING WITH THE MORNING STAR

The Lenten Daily Reflections book “Rising with the Morning Star” is now available in the Church office ($10.00 each)

Who Am I - Awakening the Spirit Within.
Saturday March 5
1:30 to 4:30 PM
Fee: $20
Does the thought of creating a piece of art intimidate you?
Then come and join us at this workshop.
Through the use of collage, tap into your creative side - even if you didn't know you had one.
No art experience required. Creating a collage can be a truly spiritual experience.
This event is geared for adults.
Materials will be provided but you are welcome to bring items like photographs
to incorporate into the piece that you will take home.
Led by Melinda Calway sponsored by Christian Education.
